Acquisition of skilled labor resources is a fundamental need on every project regardless of industry.  Providing for that need is the central goal of JAG’s trade labor services program.  We are committed to ensuring the availability and deployment of skilled tradesmen with the experience and qualifications to meet the diversity of our industry client’s specific project needs.

To fulfill this commitment, JAG Industrial and Marine Service is always recruiting highly skilled tradesmen, foremen and project managers experienced in marine support services and wide range of industrial manufacturing projects.  To meet ever rising demand for trade labor services we maintain an extensive, active database of thousands of tradesmen from across the United States, representing both the highest quality and diversity in skill sets. Our crews are rapidly mobilized to meet labor needs on a broad spectrum or marine repair, shipbuilding and industrial manufacturing projects anywhere in the country and beyond.

JAG has compiled a database of thousands of specialized tradesmen, foremen, project management professionals and general laborers, hand-picked for their experience and qualifications to satisfy the specific labor needs of our industry clients.  Our database includes tradesmen with specific trade and support service experience in a huge range of marine and shipbuilding projects, industrial manufacturing, machine and mechanical projects.

WELDERS

Pipe Welders

Our database boasts over 170 pipe-welders totaling over 345 different pipe certifications that have been screened to fill various types of technical welding in all industrial fields.  These candidates have all been proven effective on previous jobs and many are already certified or can be recertified to your particular in-house certification. Typically, a JAG Pipe Welder will have 6010/7018 certifications to an ABS approved ASME Section IX procedure. We also have many welders with GTAW Root, then SMAW or FCAW Cap and  those who are certified to an ABS approved ASME Section IX procedure.  We currently have 32 individuals that have GTAW CuNi Open Root certifications. Our off-site testing facilities and in-house AWS CWI, ANST Level II VT weld inspector allow us to test welders to your procedures with-in hours and get them into market quickly and efficiently.  If you are not interested in using a JAG ASME/ABS approved Welding Procedure (WPS), JAG welders can qualify to your procedure (WPS) or if need be, JAG can assist you in the creation of an AWS, ASME, ABS, DNV or NAVSEA welding procedure.

JAG also has a large database of proven project management professionals and foreman that can manage a team of 20-200 tradesmen effectively.

 

Structural Welders

Our database boast over 1450 structural welders, 549 of those have certification to a Class Society, totaling over 920 various structural certifications, 126 using Ceramic Tape in the Horizontal and Vertical position, that have been screened to fill various types of technical welding in all industrial fields.  These 1270 candidates have all been proven effective on previous job and many are already certified or can be recertified to your requirements or WPS.  Our off-site testing facilities and in-house AWS CWI, ANST Level II VT weld inspector allow us to test welders to your procedures with-in hours and get them into market quickly and efficiently.  JAG also has a large database of proven project management professionals and foreman that can manage a team of 20-200 tradesmen effectively.

Aluminum Welders

Our database of over 25 GMAW aluminum tradesman can support your projects from raw materials to fabricated assemblies and large-scale production of all types, even on tight deadlines. Most of our Aluminum Craftsmen have experience on very thin marine grade Aluminum. We can provide template design for the welding and assembly of your parts and can test for and determine all welding processes required. Whether for marine shipbuilding, industrial equipment or other applications, our facilities and tradesmen offer services that will surpass your expectations every time.  JAG also has a large database of proven project management professionals and foreman that can manage a team of 20-200 tradesmen effectively.

Pipe Fitters

Our database boast over 266 pipe-fitters that have been screened to fill various types of technical fitting in all industrial fields.  These candidates have all been proven effective on previous jobs

Structural Fitters

Our database boast over 740 structural-fitters that have been screened to fill various types of technical fitting in all industrial fields.  These candidates have all been proven effective on previous jobs and many are already certified to a JAG ABS/ASME approved WPS to complete Tack & Fillet welds during assembly or can be recertified to your particular in-house certification.  JAG also has a large database of proven project management professionals and foreman that can manage a team of 20-200 tradesmen effectively.

Marine Joiners

Our database of over 10 skilled marine joiners can support your project of any caliber.  We have completed many projects from start to finish and done extensive turn-key and repair work.  We a variety of skilled artisans and foreman to handle and painting and blasting needs.

Marine Insulators

Our database of 33 marine insulators have the skillset to complete any marine insulation work. We have worked on a diverse set of insulation applications.  This has included all insulation required for accommodation and machinery spaces, structural fire protection, thermal and acoustic insulation, HVAC, water pipe, exhaust pipe and muffler insulation and more.

MARINE ELECTRICIANS

Marine Electricians

Our Marine Electricians have lead projects for the military, government agencies, shipbuilders, ship repair and maintenance firms. Our database has over 150 Marine Electricians. Our Marine Electricians can provide a wide range of services including, but not limited to:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and management of marine electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Check, test, and maintain automatic controls and alarm systems.
  • Perform industrial controls integration into machinery control systems.
  • Develop test procedures and perform testing with regulatory bodies.
  • Knowledge of USCG and US Navy drawing standards, templates and redline procedures.
  • Identify existing drawings for modification and/or identification of new drawings.
  • Recommend upgrades and replacement parts to repair and extend the life expectancy of marine electrical/electronic systems and equipment.
  • Estimate time to perform repairs and modifications recommended.
  • Develop cost estimate for material purchase, lead time, and installation of new materials recommended.
  • Identify existing Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPC) for modification, improvement or layup of equipment.
  • Review existing maintenance actions to determine failure points as well as corrections to reduce or eliminate down time.

MARINE ENGINEERING, CONSULTING & SCHEDULERS

Marine Engineering, Consulting, & Schedulers

Our Marine Engineering, Consulting, & Schedulers have lead projects for the military, government agencies, shipping companies, shipbuilders and ship repair facilities. Our Marine Engineering, Consulting, & Schedulers can provide a wide range of services including, but not limited to:

  • Maintain and coordinate repair of marine machinery and equipment for installation on vessels.
  • Review work requests, and compare them with previous work completed on ships in order to ensure that costs are economically sound.
  • Inspect marine equipment and machinery in order to draw up work requests and job specifications.
  • Prepare, or direct the preparation of, product or system layouts and detailed drawings and schematics.
  • Analyze data in order to determine feasibility of product proposals.
  • Prepare technical reports for use by engineering, management, or sales personnel.
  • Maintain contact with, and formulate reports for, contractors and clients in order to ensure completion of work at minimum cost.
  • Design and oversee testing, installation, and repair of marine apparatus and equipment.
  • Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted, as well as sequences and phases of test operations.
  • Evaluate operation of marine equipment during acceptance testing and sea trials.
  • Coordinate activities with regulatory bodies in order to ensure repairs and alterations are at minimum cost, consistent with safety.
  • Procure materials needed to repair marine equipment and machinery.
  • Act as liaisons between ships’ captains and shore personnel in order to ensure that schedules and budgets are maintained, and that ships are operated safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare plans, estimates, design and construction schedules, and contract specifications.
  • Schedule machine overhauls.

Painter/Blasters

Our database of over 100 skilled painters and blasters can support your project of any caliber.  We have completed both exterior painting and blasting projects from start to finish and done extensive interior and berthing paint project down to the fine detailing of the furniture.  We have a variety of skilled artisans and foreman to handle your painting and blasting needs.

Fire-watch & General Laborers

Fire-watch & General Laborers

JAG has a large database of previously verified and fire-watch trained employees to meet any general laborer or fire-watch needs.  These employees can also be in-house OSHA-10 trained, as well as, any other additional training can be negotiated.  This includes but is not limited to confined space, OSHA, CPR, Lock-out/Tag-out.
